Composer: William Croft

William Croft (baptized 30 December 1678 – 14 August 1727) was an English composer and organist. Croft was born at the Manor House, Nether Ettington, Warwickshire. Texts

Ye Holy Angels Bright

Ye holy angels bright,
Who wait at God's right hand,
Or through the realms of light
Fly at your Lord's command,
Assist our song, or else the theme
Too high doth seem for mortal tongue.

We Give Immortal Praise

I give immortal praise
To God the Father's love,
For all my comforts here,
And better hopes above:
He sent his own
Eternal Son
To die for sins
That man had done.

Join all the glorious names

Join all the glorious names
Of wisdom, love, and power,
That ever mortals knew,
That angels ever bore:
All are too mean
To speak his worth,
Too mean to set
My Savior forth.
