1 O God in heaven, we believe
the promise we have read;
your word with meekness we receive,
and follow Christ, our head,
and follow Christ, our heard.

2 When we repent of all our sins
and come with broken heart,
we to this covenant enter in
and choose the better part,
and choose the better part.

3 As we are buried in the stream,
in Jesus' blessed name,
oh, may your light upon us beam,
the Spirit's heavenly flame,
the Spirit's heavenly flame.

4 O Lord, accept our humble prayer,
and all our sins forgive;
new life impart from this good hour
and grant that we may live,
and grant that we may live. Amen.
