1 Come, Holy Spirit, Come, Spirit of pow’r!
Oh, come in Thy fulness this God-given hour;
To Thee be surrendered each feeling and tho’t,
And now in our souls be Thy will freely wrought.

Come, Holy Spirit, in mercy draw nigh;
Come, and endue us with pow’r from on high.

2 Come, Holy Spirit, Come, Spirit of love,
Baptize us with fire from the altars above;
Oh, help us sink lower down, down at the cross,
There cleanse Thou our hearts from defilement and dross. [Refrain]

3 Come, Holy Spirit, Come, Spirit of pow’r!
Send down Thy sweet gifts in a plentiful shower;
Repeat the glad season of Pentecost here,
And now, as of old, make Thy glory appear. [Refrain]
