CL. Praise God in that bless'd Place

1 Praise GOD in that bless'd Place,
From whence his Goodness flows,
In Heav'n, where he his Face
Unveil'd in Glory shows.
Praise him, for with the mighty Acts
Which he for us hath done,
Our Praise should equal run.
His Kindness this Return exacts.

2 Let the shrill Trumpet's Voice
Make Rocks his Praise resound;
Praise him with Harp's sweet Noise,
And Psaltries Silver sound.
Let graceful Virgins lead the Dance,
And sprightly Timbrels bring;
Let ev'ry warbling String,
With Organs join'd, his Praise advance.

3 Let them who Hymns compose,
To Cymbals set their Praise,
Of common Use, and those
That sound on solemn Days.
The Breath he does to them afford,
Let them who Life enjoy,
In Songs of Praise employ,
LET EV'RY CREATURE PRAISE THE LORD!
