1 Behold I come! the Saviour cries,
On wings of love I fly;
So come, dear Lord, my soul replies,
And bring salvation nigh.

2 Come, please thy truth's much-injured cause
And make thy glory shine;
Come, vindicate thy righteous laws
With majesty divine.

3 With winged speed, Redeemer, dear,
Bring on the illustrious day;
Let not our hopes give way to fear
Beneath thy long delay.
