1 Gather the fairest rosebuds,
Sparkling with morning dew;
Gather the purest lilies,
Blossoms of brightest hue.

Gather them all for Jesus,
Beautiful summer flowers;
Yet will the sweetest offering,
Come from these hearts of ours.

2 Out in the golden sunshine,
Out in the shadows dim,
Gather the little children,
Gather them all for Him. [Refrain]

3 Tell them the dear old story,
Wonderful words of love;
Tell them of Christ, the Saviour,
Living for them above. [Refrain]

4 Gather the little children
Into the Sabbath School;
Give them a kindly welcome,
