"Following Yonder Star" is a scintillating piano suite by Larry Shackley based on the story of the wise men and the Star of Bethlehem. Suitable for the Christmas season through Epiphany, the suite begins with a festive prelude on "As With Gladness Men of Old" and concludes with a joyous postlude on "The First Nowell." In between are two meditative pieces, which could function as offertories or even as background music for a Christmas pageant. Like all of our "Sunday Suites," this engaging collection provides thematically-related music for a complete Sunday service.
