Danish Lutheran and Norwegian Lutheran items primarily from the 18th-21st centuries with some landmark examples from the 16th and 17th centuries. American Protestant denominations from the 19th-21st centuries, with primary focus on Lutheranism in the Upper Midwest, including the Norwegian synod (and subsequent iterations), state-related Lutheran synods (Missouri, Wisconsin, Ohio), the Hauge church, and the 20th and 21st century Lutheran organizations (ALC, LCA, ELCA). Representative hymnals from other Protestant denominations, primarily 19th-21st century. Religious songbooks and hymns for children and youth (for home, school, and Sunday school); hymns for mission; and Decorah imprints and imprints from other small Norwegian-American publishers (typically affiliated with a synod or seminary) in the Upper Midwest.
