I notice that the URL for the WINDSOR tune page is called windsor_tye_daman. I understand what "tye" is about, since the tune is apparently based on a piece of Tye's music (1533 or 1553?). But what is the "daman" about?

Most hymnals also attribute it to William Daman/Damon's "Booke of Musicke"
