Original tune to "I'd rather have Jesus"

You are here

The bio page on Rhea Miller seems clearly to indicate that Rhea Miller composed music for her text. It does not clearly indicate whether that music was the basis of the usual tune, which is always ascribed to the late George Beverly Shea, or whether it was a different tune. Any information on this would be most welcome and should be included at the page cited in the database. Of course, if the author's own tune is available it would be good to have a copy here, but in any event clarification of the tune history of the text would be a very good thing.
