High Resolution *.jp2 page scans; what app or other software do I use to see this? Neither GIMP nor Windows Picture Viewer can open these.

There are number of programs. Do a Google search for jp2 image viewer.

IrfanView is a good choice, supporting JP2 format with the supplemental plug-ins. (Program & plug-ins are free.)
