You are here

There are close to 10,000 instances having "Mongtomery" in them. Presumably, most of them are a propagated typo for "Montgomery", notably James Montgomery. http://www.hymnary.org/instances?qu=mongtomery+in:instances Not sure what to do about this. :(

Comments

Every instance having a page scan in the database has now been corrected to reflect what is actually on the page/index—roughly 3,400 instance records, leaving 6,404 instances. (Twelve were just done, so they will still appear in search, temporarily.) In all of this work, I saw NOT ONE instance where the "Mongtomery" typo was in the hymnal. May I suggest that the other instances be corrected by a database sweep? Based on this experience, I would be shocked if .5% would be the replacement of good data with bad.

Thank you.
