For—let's just say—half a decade, I've been wondering about a certain musical typeface used in the 1991 Denson Revision of “The Sacred Harp” (https://sacredharpbremen.org/wp-content/uploads/songs/200-299/202-New-Lebanon/202-New-Lebanon.jpg) “Sword of the Lord's Soul-Stirring Songs and Hymns (Revised Edition)”, and Howard Publishing's “Songs of the Church (21st Century Edition)”. I came across this exact same typeface used in a score contained in Boytim's “First Book of Tenor Solos” this evening, which caused the question to resurface in my mind.
I did some low-mid level deep research with Perplexity AI, and it concluded it was some revision of Cleo Huggins's Sonata typeface, but when I emailed her recently about this matter, she replied and denied it was some iteration of Sonata. I also asked a hymnody Facebook group I'm in about this matter, but I did not get any replies that provided insight as to what the font is, or what it might be.
This leads me to ask, do any of you here, or anyone else you know, know what the musical typeface (i.e. the font for the musical symbols) is in the aforementioned hymnals?
Thanks in advance.
