Plea to keep the original wording as much as possible

I love Hymns and especially singing them in their original wording makes them more deep and rich. But whenever I sing the modern translation version or alteration to words, it takes away the depth that one experiences in the old wordings. I request that the original wording be used, unless it is unsingable or impossible to sing.
