The earliest hymnal, The New Jubilee Harp, 1888, credits J.J.Denver (lyrics) & Miles H. Aborn (music). All subsequent hymnals list it as anonymous (first 3 verses) and F. M. Brabham additional 4 (or 5) verses. Can anyone explain?
