Amo perfekta, super hom-pensado

Representative Text

1. Amo perfekta, super hom-pensado!
Ĉe via tron' humile preĝas ni:
Restu senfine amo kaj benado
Al ambaŭ kunigitaj nun de vi.

2. Ĝoje kunvivu ili sur la tero;
Benu al ili amo kaj fidel';
Ilin inspiru fido kaj espero;
Brave kuniru ili al la cel'.

3. Venku doloron via sankta ĝojo,
Brilu sur ilin via paco-stel';
Estu por ili post la monda vojo
Amo kaj viv' eternaj en ĉiel'.

Subsequently it was set as an anthem by J. Barnby for the marriage of the Duke of Fife with the Princess Louise of Wales, on July 27, 1889. In 1889 it was included in the Supplemental Hymns to Hymns Ancient & Modern, and in 1890 in the Hymnal Companion. --John Ju… Go to person page >
