58. ‘Tis Sweet to Follow Jesus

1 I will not say to Jesus “nay,”
However rough may seem the way;
But let Him choose my path for me,
And trust Him where I cannot see.

Refrain:
For it is blessed and so sweet
To have the Saviour guide my feet;
His way I know is always best,
And so my heart in faith shall rest.

2 Wherever sent I am content,
E’en tho’ I know not His intent;
I’m satisfied while I can know
He leads me in the way I go. [Refrain]

3 I’ll never fear with Jesus near,
Nor to the tempter’s voice give ear;
My will is just to follow Him,
E’en tho’ the light before be dim. [Refrain]

4 Let troubles roll upon my soul,
I’m safe, for Jesus has control;
To trust in Him, ah, this is mine
Till I with Him in glory shine. [Refrain]
