1 Lord God omnipotent, we lift our hearts to Thee
For blessings manifold, that cannot numbered be;
Our selfishness destroy, our hearts with wisdom fill;
A spirit more like Thine give us to do Thy will.

2 On ev’ry hand behold the fields with reapers few;
Lord, give us greater zeal Thy work of love to do!
Endue us to upbuild the brotherhood of man
By living closer to the wiser, broader plan.

3 Didst Thou not do for us a mighty work of love?
Then give us grace, O God, our gratitude to prove;
For others help us live, nor count our duty done
To God and fellow man, until the set of sun.
