Carl Christian Nicolaj Balle was born in Copenhagen on December 25, 1806. He was a Danish composer and editor of church music and served as a pastor in Vesterbølle and Nebsager. He is noted for his Christmas compositions, including the hymn tune "Det kimer nu til julefest". He died on March 3, 1885 in Nebsager, Bjerre, Vejle, Denmark. NN  Go to person page >
