We greet the Christmastide,
While anthems of rejoicing
Resound on every side.
The sky is all illumined
With Bethl’m’s shining star;
It sends the Christmas message
To nations near and far.

Hallelujah! Sing for joy, O sing!
Hallelujah! Hail the newborn King!
Hallelujah! Sing for joy, O sing!

Hail the blessed King of kings!

2 With songs of hallelujah
We gather here today,
To tell the Christmas story,
And bear its gift away;
The gift of peace eternal,
And love that cannot die,
But leads us on to glory,
In Heaven’s arches high. [Refrain]

3 With songs of hallelujah
This day of days we greet,
And gather round the Christ Child,
To worship at His feet.
He is the King of glory,
His reign shall never cease;
He rules our hearts forever,
