God hangs a mist o'er my eyes,
And at each step in my onward way,
He makes new scenes to arise,
And ev'ry joy he sends to me
Is a strange and sweet surprise.

I'll follow where'er he leads.

2 Oh, restful, blissful, darkness,
'Tis blessed not to know,
It keeps me still in the arms of God,
