1 O Zion, city of my God!
Thou holy mount of love—
The testimonies of the Word,
Thy grace and beauty prove.

Thy towers they reach within the gate,
Where, seated on His throne,

2 Thou’rt placed upon foundations sure,
And planted deep in love;
And palaces of love so pure,

And love thy battlements—
Encompassed round on every side,

4 Rare gems and untold wealth are found
Within thy gates of peace,
