Scored for SATB Choir

America loves to sing the hymns from Southern Harmony, 1835, with their all-American sound. Lovelace loves to arrange these hymns for modern choir, and here uses a fine Eucharistic text by Fred Pratt Green. Stanzas one and three are robustly unison, while in stanza two the ATB voices underpin the soprano melody with a fragment of the text sung in augmentation.
