This collection spans many centuries and contains some of the best-known French carols (“Ding-Dong! Merrily on High,” “Bring a Torch,” “He is Born,” “March of the Kings”). But you may find yourself equally drawn to more unexplored Noëls, such as the haunting melodies of “What is this Lovely Fragrance?,” and “Sleep, My Dove.” Lush harmonies and a wide variety of textures make these arrangements a joy to play and entrancing to hear.
