Glorious Army

Representative Text

1 Children, in one glorious army,
Marching to our heav’nly home;
We will love our blessèd Savior,
And from Him no more will roam.

Refrain:
March on, march on,
Do not linger here;
For the Captain’s near us,
And we need not fear.

2 Children, join us, oh, delay not,
For the Savior bids you come;
We are marching home to victory,
And the prize will soon be won. [Refrain]

3 In the Sabbath school each Sunday,
There we meet to learn of Him,
Meet to learn how once He suffered
To redeem our souls from sin. [Refrain]

4 Many times the way seems darkened,
By the snares cast in the way,
But the Captain will defeat them,
And will hold the foe at bay. [Refrain]

5 Then, dear children, do you hear not?
Will you not with us unite?
Come and go, for now’s the bidding
To the workers for the right. [Refrain]
