O Bom Pastor

Representative Text

1 Escutem quando conto
Como foi que meu Senhor
Ganhou Seu rico nome
De Jesus, o Bom Pastor.
Foi sobre a cruz sangrenta
Que Ele, muito bem o sei,
Cedeu a própria vida
Por amor da Sua grei.

Refrain:
Amor, amor da Sua grei,
Cedeu a própria vida (bis)
Por amor da Sua grei.

2 Com incansável zelo
Seu rebanho protegeu;
Aos sem vigor e tímidos
A Sua mão valeu.
Mas quando o lobo apareceu,
Feroz, destruidor,
Então a própria vida

3 E desde o céu o Bom Pastor
Ainda cuidará
De cada ovelha que Seu Pai
Com tanto amor Lhe dá;
Pois Ele, a Quem Seu povo
Chama Sumo e Bom Pastor,
Por nós a Sua vida
Deu, levado pelo amor.
