Go forward to conquer

Representative Text

1 Go forward to conquer!
O soldiers of the King!
Go forward, nor falter, let songs of triumph ring;
Be loyal to duty, wholehearted service bring;
Go forward, go forward to conquer.

Refrain:
Then Go forward, ever forward, never defeat to know;
Forward, forward go, ever forward;
Strong in the Lord who leads us onward leads us against the foe;
Go forward, ever go forward to conquer.

2 Go forward to conquer!
Tho’ hosts of sin assail,
Go forward, go forward, thro’ Christ you shall prevail;
Go forward, for trusting in him you can not fail;
Go forward, go forward to conquer. [Refrain]

3 Go forward to conquer
Beneath his banner true!
Go forward, be faithful, and ev’ry duty do;
While Jesus is calling for soldiers strong and true,
Go forward, go forward to conquer. [Refrain]
