On to victory

Representative Text

1 Hear the call, ye children of the kingdom,
“Soldiers wanted for the battle-field;”
Darkness breaks, the day is swiftly dawning,
When the foe of righteousness must yield.

Refrain:
On to victory!
On to victory!
‘Neath the banner of the cross we fight to win;
Christ our Captain leads the way before us,
We shall victors be and conq’rors over sin.

2 Stand ye fast against the hosts of evil,
And the hidden foe you cannot see;
From his darts the shield of faith protects you,
And God’s word a flaming sword shall be. [Refrain]

3 Onward go, no service is forgotten,
For God’s promise is steadfast and sure
That He will reward the true and faithful,
Those who shall unto the end endure. [Refrain]
