Steve Bassett is a lyricist, musician and documentary-maker based in the U.K. With his wife, Sue Reeves-Bassett he was the member of the group New Beginnings in the late '70s. Then in 1991 they joined with Colin Pye to form Red Sun. Bassett also began film making, documenting mission work, social issues, HIV, preventable blindness and other issues, as Creative Director of LifeWords, a non-profit organization, based in London. he is also involved with Nine Beats Collective, a group of musicians, poets and activists making music inspired by the Beatitudes.
