1 إسمعن رب الحصاد يدعو
من تُرى يمضي أجيراً لي
من يردُّ الضال لي والغاوي
من يريه مستوى سبلي

قرار:
فِه بهذا الخطاب
ثم دعني أُحسنُ الجواب
فه بهذا الخطاب
وأنا يا رب للذهاب

2 عندما مست إشعيا النار
حيث نقَّته من الأزغال
وقال صوت الله من يمضي لي
ها أنا مولايَ ذاك قال

3 ها ملايينٌ تموت إثما
صاحِ فاسمع دعوة الرحيم
ثم كالنبيِّ قل أرسلني
سيدي لنجدة الأثيم

4 سوف يمضي موسم القطفِ: قُم
عن قريبٍ يُجمعُ الحصاد
ليت ربُّ الأرض يرضى عنا
قائلاً أحسنتمُ الجهاد

Author: George Bennard

George Bennard (1873-1958) was born in Youngstown, OH. When he was a child the family moved to Albia, Iowa. He served with the Salvation Army in Iowa for several years before he was ordained in the Methodist Episcopal Church. His hymn "Speak, my Lord" appears in Triumphant Service Songs (Chicago: Rodeheaver Hall-Mack Co., 1934). He wrote words and tune for his best known hymn "The Old Rugged Cross" in 1913.
