Through thee, O Lord, my time to come

Through thee, O Lord, my time to come

Representative Text

1 Thro' Thee, O Lord, my Time to come
Shall be with Gladness crown'd:
And me, who dismal Years have pass'd,
Thy comforts shall surround.

2 Me, whom thy Hand has sorely press'd,
Thy Grace shall yet relieve;
And from the lowest Depths of Woe,
With tender Care retrieve.

3 Then Joy shall fill my Mouth, and Songs
Employ my chearful Voice:
My grateful Soul, by Thee redeem'd,
Shall in thy Strength rejoice.

4 Then will I celebrate thy Truth
With Instruments of Praise;
To Thee, my ever gracious God,
My Voice in Anthems raise.
