Sing Praises!

Representative Text

1 Thus saith the Lord that created thee,
And called thee by thy name;
Fear not; for I have begotten thee,
And borne thy sin and shame.
Be not afraid: I have chosen thee;
My oath I will not break;
I help, and strengthen, and comfort thee,
And save, for My own sake.

2 Thou art my servant, O Israel,
I paid the price divine;
I never, never forget thee, then,
For Thou art Mine, all Mine.
Thy great transgressions are blotted out,
And as a cloud, thy sin;
Return! Return! O return to Me,
And life eternal win.

3 Sing, O ye heavens, and shout, O earth!
Break forth, and shout and sing!
Ye mountains, forest, and ev’ry tree
Sing praises to your King!
He hath redeemed thee, O Israel!
He suffer’d, bled and died;
He rose, and opened a door of hope;
Himself He glorified!

Sing, O ye heav’ns, and shout, O earth!
Break forth and shout and sing!
Ye mountains, forest, and ev’ry tree
Sing praises to your King.
