On Calvary

1 Up Calvary—there climbed on day
God’s only Son upon His way
To die for you, to die for me,
Upon the cross of Calvary.

Up Calvary—He died for me,
And took the stain of sin away,
And showed the way to victory—
Eternal life and endless day.

2 On Calvary—His life He gave,
My ransom there, my soul to save;
Upon the Lord was laid my sin,
That I His courts might enter in. [Refrain]

3 On Calvary—God’s only Son
O’er death and sin and vict’ry won,
And to the cross bro’t glory bright,
To light the world with Holy Light. [Refrain]

4 To Calvary—I look today
For light to guide me on life’s way.
And to its cross my trusting soul
