Happy in the Lord

Representative Text

1 Walking the old cross way, going to realms of day,
singing of love and grace sublime;
Close to the Holy Dove, laying up wealth above,
Happy in Jesus all the time.

Chorus:
Happy in Jesus, all the way home,
Never again in sin would I roam;
Pardoned of inbred sin, hoping the crown to win,
Happy in Jesus, going home.

2 Nobody else can save sinners from earth and grave,
Nobody else can guide the soul;
Filling the spirit's seed, wonderful friend indeed,
Safely He leads me to the goal. [Chorus]

3 Angels and saints above, resting within his love,
Joyously worship and adore;
There I would praise my King, ever His praises sing,
Worship and love Him evermore. [Chorus]
