How They Sing Up Yonder!

Representative Text

1 When the sinner turns from sin,
How they sing up yonder!
Comes to Christ sweet place to win,
How they sing up yonder!
Asks for cleansing in the blood,
Sinks beneath the healing flood,
Rises, cleansed and owned of God,
How they sing up yonder!

2 When the wand’rer seeks his home,
How they sing up yonder!
Just a servant to be become,
How they sing up yonder!
Leaves the byways cold and bare,
Seeks again a father’s care,
All His wealth of love to share,
How they sing up yonder!

3 Brother, would you join the song,
In the home up yonder?
Sing while ages roll along,
In the home up yonder?
Then forsake the paths so cold,
Fly to Jesus and His fold,
That your name may be enrolled,
In the home up yonder!
