Notes: TK calls the tune Portadown, but I regard it as an arrangement of Bendemeer's Stream, also known as The Mountains of Mourne. The text "Bendemeer's Stream" was written by Thomas Moore; "The Mountains of Mourne" was written by Percy French. ... The tune name Portadown more often refers to another tune (MIDI missing), whose traditional text is about an occurrence in the year 1641, when Irish Catholics massacred Irish Protestants.
