Thomas Pavlechko

b. 1962 Person Name: Thomas Pavlechko, 1962- Composer of "GREENBELT" in Worship and Rejoice PAVLECHKO, THOMAS (b. 1962) is the Cantor and Composer-in-Residence at St. Martin’s Lutheran Church in Austin, Texas. Named the Emerging Hymn Tune Composer by HSUSC in 2002, his sacred music compositions, hymn tunes, choral, orchestral and concert band works are widely performed. He is the co-editor of the principal worship planning reference books of the Episcopal Church U.S.A, ,cite>Liturgical Music for the Revised Common Lectionary. His collection of over 600 Psalm settings, St. Martin’s Psalter, is published in two editions with Augsburg Fortress Publishers and St. James Music Press. Pavlechko is a graduate of the Dana School of Music at Youngstown State University and the University of Cincinnati’s College-Conservatory of Music, both in his native Ohio.
