Problems with HoFM1945

I am having serious problems upgrading the spreadsheet for this bilingual English & Yiddish hymnal. It has always been an orphaned DNAH baby with only minimal unedited info on the English texts, nothing about the Yiddish except that it is one of the Hymnal Languages, and nothing about the tunes. I want to do the whole thing up right. It will take awhile! But first I need the whole spreadsheet to upload properly. You can access a copy of it at https://rosharuo.neocities.org/00-Himnoj_ktp/Sankta_Harmonio/HoFM1945_version-to-upload-that-fails.xml . I don't see anything that would make it lock up at the 40-hymn mark, but it insists on doing so. Here's a page scan of the first hymn, the only one I have entered yet in Yiddish; but the problem with the upload keeps its English counterpart (which was in DNAH) from loading.  https://hymnary.org/files/hymnary/image/HoFM1945-001.jpg_0.jpg I can't get the picture to display here properly either, but the link should work.

I also wonder if there's any way to contact the person who did the DNAH entry work on this hymnal; there are a number of places where “Hebrew” is given as one of the languages (along with Yiddish and English) where I don't see anything in Hebrew unless they just mean the alphabet. There are a few places where there are Hebrew texts in the book, but as far as I have seen yet none of them are hymn texts. Also, there are 4 hymns that were not in the DNAH-based spreadsheet, and one (d88 Though your sins be as scarlet) that is not in the book but was listed.

The problem with the spreadsheet is that you have 2 hymns with numbers 20-en.  - “Blessing and honor and glory…" and “Jesus, thou joy of loving hearts.” From the page scan it looks like both the English and the Yiddish text are the same number, so the first line should be the first presented text with the second presented text in parentheses, as in “O worship the King, all glorious above (אָ, בּוּקט אײך צו גאָט, זײן הערלעכטער פּראַכט)” You can make the text authority id Yiddish since the hymnal is designed for Yiddish speaking people. But there would be 1 number, no 1-yi, 1-en.

If the text is English and Yiddish, just delete the line that says “Hebrew.” Extra texts or missing texts are normal in DNAH hymnals.

Two 20-ens explain most of the problem. I'll get it straightened out in the near future. Probably this week.

I got the full set of instance pages to work, removed the language suffixes, and got the second hymn's first line and text authority into Yiddish, and put parentheses around most if not all of the English first lines. It'll take a while for me to finish the conversion to Yiddish for the other 98%, but I'll be working on it at least weekly.

I'm also making some progress on typing in Sgaw Karen (which uses a version of the Burmese abugida), so hopefully sometime soon I'll be able to start serious entries in my Karen hymnals (I have the Baptist and Episcopalian ones).
