1845 - 1921 Person Name: Frederick William Hogan Composer of "ST. PATRICK (Hogan)" in The Cyber Hymnal Born: 1845, Richhill, County Armagh, Ireland. Died: December 1, 1921, Bournemouth, England. Hogan was educated at Trinity College, Dublin (BA 1867, MA 1881). He was ordained a deacon in 1869, and priest in 170. He served as Curate of Tamlaght Finlagan (1869-70); Killowen (1870-73); Chaplain of Boyd Church, Bally-Castle (1873); Chaplain to the Earle of Erne and Incumbent of Holy Trinity, Kinawley (1873-82); and Vicar of All Saints, Eglantine, County Down (1883-1915). --www.hymntime.com/tch

1540 - 1603 Person Name: Silvio Antoniano, b. 1540 Author of "How blest the virgin who endued" in The Book of Common Praise Cardinal Silvio Antoniano, was born at Rome in 1540. Through the influence and patronage of Pope Pius IV. he became Professor of the Belles Lettres in the Collegio Romano, and subsequently rose to be the head of the college, and a cardinal.
