He Will Guide My Soul

Author: James Rowe Appears in 2 hymnals First Line: If my path should dang'rous grow Refrain First Line: He will guide me, safely guide Lyrics: If my path should dang’rous grow, Or the night be drear; If a sorrow wave should o’er me roll, Not a doubt my heart shall know, Not a single fear, For I know that He will guide my soul. Chorus: He will guide me, safely guide, Whatsoever be the way, I will trust my Savior dear to guide my soul, Guide it safe to realms of endless day. Just to win my soul He died; It is His alone; He will guard it, He will it defend; And whatever may betide, He will keep His own, And will guide it safely to the end. When the hand of death is laid On this failing dust, And my spirit takes its way unknown, Still I will not be afraid, But will fully trust; For I know that He will guide His own.
