Thinking Of Me

Author: William Charles Poole Appears in 2 hymnals First Line: It helps when temptation sweeps over my soul Refrain First Line: Thinking of me, thinking of me Lyrics: 1 It helps when temptation sweeps over my soul, And tossing is life’s restless sea, To know that my pilot has perfect control, And Jesus is thinking of me. Refrain: Thinking of me, thinking of me, Jesus my Savior is thinking of me; Where’er I may be, on the land, on the sea, Jesus my Savior is thinking of me. 2 It helps me, when pleasures would lead me astray, To know that the Savior in love, Is tenderly guiding me over life’s way, And watching from Heaven above. [Refrain] 3 So onward I journey in gladness today, Wherever my pathway may be; I know that my Savior is leading the way, And Jesus is thinking of me. [Refrain] Used With Tune: [It helps when temptation sweeps over my soul]
