God's Way is Best

Author: Mrs. C. H. M. Appears in 2 hymnals First Line: God has a plan for every life Refrain First Line: God's way is best, 'tis always best Lyrics: 1 God has a plan for ev’ry life, Our guide and pattern He; If in His will we but confide, In faith and love in Him abide, Our lives shall blissful be. Chorus: God’s way is best, ‘tis always best, He plans my life for me; Now in His will I sweetly rest Who plans my life for me. 2 I do not ask to choose my way, For ignorant am I; And oft what seemeth best to me, Some direful evil proves to be,— I must on Him rely. [Chorus] 3 In God’s sweet will is perfect rest For all who in Him trust, Release from worry, strife or fret, From ill forebodings, vain regret,— Saved to the uttermost. [Chorus] 4 As clay so may I pliant be In Christ the Master’s hands; So may He mold and fashion me, Until His likeness He shall see, Complete in Him to stand. [Chorus] Used With Tune: [God has a plan for every life]
