S. M. Bixby
1833 - 1912 Composer of "KEITH (Bixby)" Samuel M. Bixby was born on May 27, 1833 in Haverhill, New Hampshire. His company, S. M. Bixby & Company, manufactured shoe blackings and shoe dressings, but music was his passion. He was also a Sunday school superintendent and choir leader. He died on March 11, 1912 in Fordham, New York. His works include:

1843 - 1908 Author of "O Jesus, My Saviour, I Come and Confess" in Gloria Deo Susan Ketchum Bourne was the widow of the Rev. Shearjashub Bourne. She was largely identified with church and missionary work in the Congregational church of Manhattan, and was an active and charter member of Sorosis. She was perhaps best known to old New Yorkers as the chief founder and President of the Lydia F. Wadleigh Association.
